Emily Brown

Hello, I am Emily Brown. I am currently a media specialist in a k-5 setting. This is my 6th year in education. I am a good group mate and do my share of the work on time. I am pretty good with technology so I feel that I could help my group with technology. Since I am a media specialist I have a lot of resources on hand, so I can help my group in that way. My biggest pet peeve is when group mates don’t do their part. I do feel like my group needs to know that I have a baby boy who goes to be around 7:30, so usually I won’t be available for group chats on week days until around 7:45-8 because my husband also works late.

David Copeland

Hello! My name is David Copeland and I am currently employed as a Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher in Cobb County. My school is a private learning academy that teaches infants through kindergarten. I teach through the Georgia Bright from the Start program. The age range of my students is four to five years. My B.S. is in EECE and my M.Ed. is in Curriculum and Instructional Technology. I am very organized and I do well with presentation. As far as group support, I will support my group by having all of my portions completed in a timely manner and aim to ensure that my group members and I exceed the requirements. I learn programs well, so any form of technology is fine with me. I get frustrated when there is not a balance of effort within the members of a group. My personal area of improvement is that I feel everything has to be perfect (a little OCD at times). Overall, I am a good team player and my group members will be pleased.

Meagan McKinney

Hi! My name is Meagan McKinney. I am a third grade teacher in Muscogee County school District. This is my fifth year as an elementary school teacher and I love it. I am finishing up my Specialist degree this semester so a procrastinator I am not. I consider myself fluent in my skills with technology. It is something that I have been accustom to integrating into my classroom on a daily basis. I believe I can offer a lot to my group. I am a willing group mate. I try my best to stay ahead on my coursework. I don’t doing research and putting together wiki pages. I will keep my end of the deal and put forth my best effort on anything asked of me. I am not always too keen on group work. I can’t stand when people don’t follow directions or listen to each other. My biggest frustration in working with a group is when group mates don’t hold their own weight!

Heather Wilkie

Hello! My name is Heather Wilkie and I am a first grade teacher. I have been teaching for seven years. I taught Kindergarten for five years and this is my second year in first grade. I enjoy working with the younger students and building that foundation for a love of learning. I feel that I am skilled with using the new software programs and technology that is readily available in today’s classroom. I am organized and try to always stay ahead with assignments. This should help my group with a successful completion of the assignment. As far as potential roles that I could perform to support my group, I don’t mind organizing our final project and submitting group assignments as needed. The biggest frustration I have had when working on a group project is when someone doesn’t contribute their share.
